"Unbind" is the first EP in a new series, which will explore the contrast between piano with electronic textures. The cello was chosen here as the third instrument and common thread between the four pieces, creating an introspective and meditative environment. Through rhythms that are both strict and ambient, ‘Unbind’ also explores the contrast between musical improvisation and electronic rigidity.

About Frederic Tardif

Frédéric Tardif is a composer and sound designer based in Montreal. After studying classical piano in his youth and jazz piano at university, he is now evolving as a sound designer and composer in the field of video games. His music explores its various classical and jazz influences, while incorporating elements of electronic textures.

‘Unbind’ est le premier EP d’une nouvelle série, qui explorera le contraste du piano avec des textures électroniques. Le violoncelle fut choisi ici comme troisième instrument et fil conducteur entre les quatre morceaux, créant un environnement introspectif et méditatif. À travers des rythmes à la fois strictes et ambients, ‘Unbind’ explore aussi le contraste entre l’improvisation musicale et la rigidité électronique.

'Frédéric Tardif est un compositeur et sound designer basé à Montréal. Après avoir étudié le piano classique dans sa jeunesse et le piano jazz à l’Université, il évolue maintenant en tant que sound designer et compositeur dans le domaine du jeu vidéo. Sa musique explore ses diverses influences classiques et jazz, tout en intégrant des éléments de textures électroniques. '
